gosh i really forgot how blogging's like. It already feels weird typing these stuff now...

Going into army soon, like in about 8 days...yes next tues. and totally ambivalent about what it's gonna be like there. i hope i get nice friends and all.. you know, friends who don't snore in the middle of the night... who don't stink... and definitely FRIENDS WHO DO NOT SIT ON YOUR BED. yes... these are the most important qualities. haha. For now, i'm gonna spend as much time with close friends and also drum! and oh yes...that reminds me...looks like someone's special day is coming up in 2 days time!!! (= i cant wait

oh yes...tmr's my interview at SMU school of information systems. Guess what... i have next to no idea what information systems is about! But i guess it's not too bad a course to enter. heard it's quite a good degree to pursue.. yet at the same time, i don't know if it's what i wanna do. for those who know me...i suck at all the computer stuff.. and yesss information systems...REQUIRE A LOT OF COMPUTER POWER. well...lets say i should just do my best for tmr's interview first.

OH yes...one more thing. I PASSED DRIVING...but still far from using the car by myself. Parents just won't allow me to drive it alone man... i think i'll be out of army by the time they do.

well, i hope it's the end of my long long long haitus.

ahaha. it's not one month till i last blogged yet! wahahahaha
so the posts are still coming... yes they're coming.. slow but steady, yes very steady

The worst thing is. THERE'S NAPHA TOMORROW. And i can't run for nuts.
getting a C for 2.4 already pushes my lungs to the max. i can only dream for a B.
And thanks to dao ming, who had an incredible revelation that A levels is only 26 weeks away....you really made my day by easing my already maxed level of anxiety.
Studies have been INCREASINGLY DECREASING in excitment level... and that's really not good. this 26 weeks...no 182 days left till A levels have to be my best days of my life. i have to enjoy everything, from integration by parts to transposons to benzaldehaydes and fiscal policies. yes, i love them to the max.

ok just incase your're wondering why im using the word 'max' so much...
I'm just trying to promote this event called playmax...which is sometime in early june...
and for all you readers ( few ...i know) who want to know more about this PLAYMAX thing. come ask me...
i'll refer you to someone who knows more(=

It's been a great week last week for many reasons.
I'm just happy that there's good friday!
but, no....choir had to intrude....

procrastination procrastination procrastinati0n...
be gone!
It's April and it's high time all J2s start becoming super muggers and aim for the 5 As we all want to get!
Can't let little stuff get in the way! that's it....no more sleeping in the afternoons, no more late nights, no more late tutorials, and no more WORD CHALLENGE. ( oh who dares challenge me?!)
yes, sacrifice jon.k sacrifice. No pain no gain, no stuggle no power....ok enough

Studying aside, i shall take some good advice and start planning for the things i want to do after A levels. here goes:
- drum at least 5 times a week, 5 hours per session
- run 3 times every week to prepare for army
- go to Egypt! ( yes that's a highlight)
and last but definitely not least,
- prepare for my speech about the 5 As I'm gonna get for A levels

i suggest all you J2s out there start preparing that speech too, you're gonna need it when that awesome result day come!(=

so a lot of things have happened since March 12.
And er, to all those out there...esp chairs and dan vai.
The passion's not dead....it never will be!
Absence just makes the heart grow fonder( hah, irregular blogging's all part of the plan!)

so here a really brief update, on what i think has happened since the last time
er...i know it's really really really late but er.... IGNITE? HAHA( k it's super late...)
yep it was a really awesome time, and the songs are still stuck in my head till this day...

what else did i miss. hmm
School's been school, go figure... lects, tutorials, and er MUCH MORE? oh yes ...choir, SYF's coming soon, and i as much as i'm excited im tired, and want it to end asap.Why? Cos mr Wong wants us, i mean... we want to be super muggers. yes

PW results out this thur and here's the following reactions gin would have wrt the following grades...
A- sigh, with relieve
B- feel super sad
C- go home cry and emo for one month
(C and D i made up... but i think it would be something like that)
D- quit school and go somewhere else
E- exile himself from all humanity
U- you'll find him at the roof of the HDB flat beside school, shouting out our names before Newton's law take over.

So i really haven't been blogging much.
but yea, guess they're other things I'm more passionate for...such as...STUDYING?
yes, TMPMOAT... that's true, really true.

here goes a lazy, uninspiring, and almost monotonous post. It speaks about a young dude, struggling in his last year of tertiary education, and hopes for it to end ASAP, and also, end well. He struggles each and everyday, tutorials...notes.....and the not-so-far-away SA exam and fast approaching. He struggles and will succeed. Despite this antagonizing cycle he - and perhaps ever other jc kid- is stuck in... he still finds time to enjoy the little pleasures in life. He makes time to go down to Dave Weckl's one and only appearance in Singapore, and though he learnt nothing much, it was really an inspiring and motivating experiencing. He has other things in his mind too...besides these extra activites...he's going to be able to drive soon. He's waiting, just waiting for that day where he can put aside his tutorials and go get his PDL.
you see, he ends off this post in a most interesting manner...

Almost two weeks have flew by like that. And I'm sure this blog is still as alive as ever! Right, right?
Studies have been going great if not for the many instances of procrastination.
But hey, WE'RE in Singapore, we all want to be educated, taught, trained, and then one day hope to become the CEO of our own Zoo.We have many dreams, most of which were crafted during those ' dare to dream' workshops.The people around us, they're not only your school mates, not only your average peers, they might just be the very reason why you score 80% for maths and still end up lower in the BELL CURVE. Therefore we have to strive, we have to aim and achieve. We can't settle with just AAAAB for our grades, no we want perfection. Everyone around us have dogs, cats, fishes, tarapins... but no, we want a farm. WE want horses, cows, oxen, chickens, dogs,cats. the more pets...the better. No that's not enough, we want our own a whale... have the pacific ocean partitioned for that very precious animal, live in a house on top that hill just in view of that 'tank'. more more more. that's us. that's what we learn, that's what we're taught, that's what we're trained for. We live in Singapore, we all want to be educated, taught, trained, and then one day hope to yes... become the CEO of our own Zoo.

I can't remember how many times i repeated the phrase' join choir' for the past two days.
It's such an irony isn't it? hahaha
But you all know that i love choir, and i love singing. (Don't argue)

Well tomorrow, Joel and i would have the honour and privilege of mending the choir booth for God knows how long, and try to persuade J1s to at put choir as their 1st , yes 1st choice! Now, that's an easy task. The rest would be prforming, and we can for the very first time watch our very own tpjc choir perform for us! everyone say woooohoooooo.

i mean, who wants to join shooting...pffft...band... tennis...blah blah. haha

Now, that does look pretty familiar. i miss the times when i took lit in secondary school and got the chance to express all my emotions and feelings. It like everything within me just wants to pour itself out and relate to the poem and the author as much as possible. The use of alliteration, repetition, rhythm and personification. Yea i kinda miss those stuff. but of course my proficiency in the english language has always been that barrier, hindering me from pouring out my true feelings for any particular poem or prose.

TODAY
Had young adults meeting for the first time today, and i must say, the direction we're heading now seems quite appropriate for us( now that we're growing, and our needs do change).
but like Crystal said,

'We just want you all to be strong Christians'

Well, it doesn't get anymore complicated than that does it? Sometimes we tend to think too deep. I'm not saying that thinking deep is wrong, but sometimes when we think deep, we're trying to use own knowledge, our own reasoning, our own explanations, and thus fail to listen to what God has to say. Sometimes, when we pray for answers, we tend to try to 'think up' an answer and then think/hope that it's from God. Well i guess the only way is to spend more time in that secret space of yours, talk to God and even if you think you're talking to a wall...persevere, and you'll soon see that Jesus Christ is real. Oh and im sure Jesus wants us to first seek his kingdom, depend on him to mould us into strong Christians, and simply be, strong, PASSIONATE, Christians. (=

I'm really encouraged too by those who've decided to fast and yea since you peeps just started not long ago, i just wanna take this opportunity to encourage you all the preservere and pray double, triple...x100 times more during this period. I'll be praying for you all!- that through this fast you'll grow so much closer to God, so much more humbled, and so much more dependent on him.

Why? you may ask...
Well i myself am perplexed and baffled by this phenomenon.
i mean, is it the pranks calls?
could it be the faking of the voice?
or perhaps just perhaps the helping of a friend in an innocent game of catan?

Well the solid answers remain at large
but what i do have for you passionators, passionately reading this passionate blog, are some reasons why the title of 'compulsive liar' truely does not belong to the passionate blogger

first lets define 'compulsive'
- according to world renowned search engine http://www.namesohard.blogspot.com/, the word compulsive was derived from that of the semi indian-latin breed. it means 'to be driven by an irresistible inner force to do something'. And We all know that to be driven by an irresistible inner force would mean that one would have to be possessed. that definitely isn't true for the case of the passionate blogger, and thus 'compulsive' cannot be used.

now for 'liar'
- a liar, as we all know, never tells the truths after he lies(cause that defeats the purpose of lying right?), unless interogated or tortured. however, for the case of the passionate blogger,he tells the truth directly after telling a lie...so it's not a lie...can't be classified as a lie...will never be.....

Next Week haunts me... it really does...
The fact that fellow bloggers can put in day to night effort of studying...
and i, at my max, can only do about 4-6 hours...
no don't think that's very good... i need breaks
lots and lots of breaks...

At this year has started with some relatively good information
like how Ee Tung has been replaced...that's God given...
and perhaps Ms Shah was a little too easy going last year...and a change in bio pressure would be good

Mr wong stays...well, that's good...though sometimes the things he says really make you feel so guilty of not studying...check this out...

'The next year will be over before you know it, and you don't want to be caught taking the A levels with 'your pants down'. Every little thing counts from now on. Ten years down the road, you'll forget my name, your classmates names, and even which class you were in, but your A level grade will stick with you for a long time.

It's the 2nd day of the year. only about 363 days left till 2010. i can't wait!
This year, i shall believe and have faith in the phrase... 'time flies...'
I'm kinda looking forward to school and all.
i really miss the guys and gals in class..but hmm... the work load just turns me off...ugh

Anyway, yea life's kinda reverting back to the monotonous style of absorbing knowledge from wood pulp into that grey matter of mine. sounds fun yea...I LOVE IT

So I'm up pretty early today.

Well that's because School's gonna start soon.

And I wanna quickly get accustomed to the early mornings.

That's been polluting my mind since the end of christmas, and i really am looking forward to an awesome year. A's, pfftt...I'll get through it..like all the others did...and get through it well! But thinking of 2009 just reminds me of the 'good old days' during PAE - the awesomestmestmestmest period of education any Singaporean student can ever experience. It's long gone, but the memories sure are deeply etched into my mind.

The times we go into class expecting nothing but a stress-free lesson from some stress-free teacher. the times when we all just decide not to turn up in school and end up in Sentosa. the times when we thought we needed an MC but infact...we don't! yes...those were the times. And you know, 1 year passes by very quickly, but thinking back, it feels like it took placed an eon ago. How saddening.

Well, that's about all the reminiscing i have in me. hmmm, actually nah... here's some pics of Ed and Crystal's wedding. again....THOSE WERE...WELL....SOME MORE GOOD OLD DAYS.

yea anyway had movie marathon in church since yesterday, and it was a great time. I thought the only good show was dark knight though...perhaps it's because it's the only one i haven't watched.

Well the the of the time after sleep was just spent at mel's house playing some BORED, i mean board game. it was fun...BUT MY TEAM NEVER WON...so it's not fun(= HAHA...KIDDING

so that's that, and i guess things are gonna start to tone down from here. School's not too far away and i just pray that next year would be one that's rewarding. All the best for the coming year my passionate readers...

it's been say 2 hours, and my fingers are dying on me. It's like writing a history essay, chunking out large portions of content that so happened to get absorbed while watching discovery channel... ok no. but you get what i mean....or do you?

But writing christmas cards ain't all that bad. ya get to write stuff that you normally won't write on an everyday basis, get to share your emotions, get to encourage, get to challenge and get to er, wish merry Christmas???! haha yea, i enjoy writing them though it kills me after the first hour or so. but DO NOT FEAR. yea cell outing was a blast! there's only a few more days till next year, and we have to treasure every moment with have now calling each other cell mates! We don;t wanna change cell! haha, but that's not for us to decide...
had lunch at this Japanese restaurant which captured Marche's concept of a market place. it was good and really affordable.(nice place to have a gathering). if it was buffet, IT WOULD BE SO MUCH BETTER. restraining sux...hahahhaha

yea, so that's how we killed time before we went for twilight on thur. well, this is like one of the only pictures I'm in, so yes...i can safely say i don't camwhore thank you(=

So yesterday was a nice nice day. Lunched with sec guys at cafe bar, it's cool that even after a year of different environments we still feel like we're in sec sch when we see each other. that kinda rox yea(= i kinda wish i could turn back time to when i was sec 1 and 2. those were seriously the best days of my life. 'carefree' becomes anunderstatement to describe those days man. i remember the soccer clan, the classroom jammers, Ek Jun, Andrew and even Sean! yes, the drummers of class 2r3!wish i still have those photos. i think it's in the sec 2 blog, but, i can't remember the add.

oh, and did i mentioned MEL interupted our really pleasant lunch! haha, no lah, you did'nt mel...

well, the whole afternoon was basically shopping after that. productive shopping...no productive CHRISTMAS shopping.

Ok, so now camp's over. yes it was the awesom-est time ever. If you missed camp, you missed the year... so Dan Tan, yea, sorry...haha
anyway, camp was great firstly for what i've learnt during the sessions, and esp during SOAP time.
those stuff really get you on your spiritual toes. what's next.. the GAMES. ROBOT mega rocked, really thankful to be able to hang out with those bunch of insanely cool people. V-may for juggling games and the group, and the rest for making it such an awesome time!(=

right now, it's post camp syndrome all the way. just wished it was a little longer...just a little longer...like about 2 more weeks? yea that'll be a good idea.

No but the tests are coming! and they're coming so very fast! i still wanna hang out, still wanna chill, still wanna have fun, still wanna this and that and this ...and what not...shucks

Well today's carolling was really really weird... i think i totally lost all the notes DUE to the long break i had man. phuket...now camp. by the time i start singing again...i would most probably sound like a lost duck... i was lucky today, wild empire had another tenor who could back me up...no..i think he totally covered for me...i couldn't even hear myself half the time! so today cycling was cancelled. AND ADELE DID NOT MESSAGE ME....thus i woke up very early( 9? hahah) and had nothing to do...in the end went with mel to Rodalink at east coast road. and i tried for the first time in my life a road bike! but it wasn;t those with the ultimate thin wheels....it was just the thinner ones. but it still went like 20-30% faster than normal bikes with the same amount of effort. power yea it rox. im so getting one for christmas...plz mom!

And the weirdest thing happened today in church. i got tired at around 3 after practicing since 12...so i slept in the josh hall...the next thing i knew...an indian repair man(who was gonna fix the projector) was like beside me and his face was so near to mine! crazy i almost hit him man...but..no i DID NOT. yea..he wanted to wake me up cos i was in the way..

Thanks Jan.C (haha...that's almost like the new one i have!) for the fabulous work yesterday. yea, if not for you, the long awaited BBQ would still be on the waiting list!

yea, im actually out of things to blog about today because as usual...i din get to get the pics i wanted! haha. but yes, recently there has been some poems going round, and so i thought...i would do a haiku...THAT RHYMES AND MAKES SENSE.

left the house : 7.30 i think
then we met with the chongs in what we Kohs thought was a big comfortable high-class coach/bus. but guess what...a van arrived. haha. it wasn't too bad lah, just a little squeezy.
had breakfast at JB. the prata there was good...real good. made a non stop trip allt he way to KL from there. slept a lot and thne watched transfermers halfway. the show really helped to pass time quickly. shopped a lot that day once we reached KL. yes ...hmm what did i eat.. er er....oh! BAH KUT TEH. it was seriously good. the one Uncle David Soh...adele's dad....recommended a long time ago in some church camp. haha...thnx uncle David!(if u ever read this... ok adele will...).

today was yet another productive day of shoppingggg... oh but not for myself! haha, so selfless am I... the rain was irritating though, delayed many plans and of course soaked many shoes. Anyway, I'm really really glad to be back in Singapore. It's not like I didn't enjoy the trip or anything but, somehow, i prefer my normal way of life....MY ROOTS.( i still suck at mandarin...)

Oh and went out with ROCK BAND peeps today with a few others...(i feel weird callin them ROCK BAND...but it's easier), and caught WILDCHILD at Lido. wasn't bad, some funny parts seriously humoured me...hah, and who thinks that Alex something something is cute??? hands raised? oh no one? ok...(= haha

So here's the breakdown of what my trip to riot land is going to be like. We'll be taking a coach to KL tomorrow and spend a night there. then on sat, we'll set off for Phuket for a time of relaxation and rejuvenation. wasn't what i expected because i don't really like travelling time...(esp on a coach). but i guess it's a break that i really need. away from the hustle and bustle of Singapore.

Well today was a productive day...never knew the A for my Sec 2 Art actually reflected when i helped cut and paint the decors for Christmas high tea! hah... no lah...any dude can do art better than me. but preparing for christmas really does gets me into the festive spirit. every now and then, i'll be prompted to sing some lovely christmas songs...and feel so jolly and merry...ok im not crazy...im just happy. hah

Sarpinos pizza for dinner, fantastic stuff. haven't tasted pizza this good for a long time man. sad thing someone missed out on it...haha. and guess what... I'm really getting better at CONNECT 4. yes the game that requires sophisticated and profound thinking b4 every move. i can can now beat Wendy consistently(= watch out mel.....ure next.

Oh yes b4 i leave for Phuket/KL, i wanna sent out a little wish in advance...

Destination : Riot land

what better attraction can a country have besides an ongoing and exhilarating riot??? can't think of any can you? One could experience more rowdiness than 10 Hong Kongs combine. you might even get a personal life threat...i mean invitation from the ever friendly protesters who took over the airport's control tower.
i mean, it would be interesting wouldn't it...' now if you look down to the left, you'll be able to see how wonderfully built these protesters are to hunt down prey...now they're taking over the fish-market! SCORE!'

yes...you might have figured out by now...i can't go to Bangkok...well, it might be a blessing in disguise? I'm actually not very keen in going in the first place, Christmas shopping and some time to relax were the main draws. well, i guess Phuket's still available for the lazy tourist to slack. so the flights postponed to tomorrow, how exciting isn't it? say yes...

i'll probably need a taser when i get there

Wanna thank the YAPS for the wonderfully planned BBQ. it was an awesome time spent at Lorong something...haha. Was my first time entering a house with a pond as a moat... so it was interesting for me(= besides.... the wonderful food and company...that wasn't complete till we had the experience of messing the whole place with VOMIT LIKE WHIPPED CREAM...seriously it smell like vomit...FRESH VOMIT...]
but it was fun and all.

So what do you think about the outfit this blog is embellished in? I owe all the thanks to my dear friend Eugin Wee! working tirelessly...listening to my constant nag on his progress...and tolerating the many changes i wanted..haha.... You're so gonna get a japanese buffet soon!

Half a day of butt torturing at east coast park was really fun...some were late( and thus suffered being daoed at)....some were roasted by the sun...and surprisingly...NO ONE FELL. that's good

We were well rewarded with the sumptuous food(NOT DESSERT!) that Thai Pan offered. Dessert was plain yuck... that's what i thought though... hopefully they weren't translated to too loud a speech...
Did i mention someone actually became a real MAN today? yes...awesome isn't it, but of course becoming a man has it's qualifications too(= haha

Then there comes the ever-entertaining, ever-stimulating game of ROCK BAND!
yes...we meet everyday to jam ram and bam...preparing for the many live gigs and world tours that our agents have signed us up for... how could we ever slack?

Thrills for the faint hearted

WENT TO ESCAPE YTD, THE MOST EXCITING, MOST THRILLING, MOST BREATH-TAKING, MOST... yea you get the point. but too bad for us the scariest rides were under maintenance and thus we had to settle with the Viking as the most 'terrifying' one, haha.
Personally, i enjoyed the haunted house the most, I seriously haven't been ths scared since i was sec 1 at madam tussuards. pity adele didn't get to see the friendly monsters while keeping her eyes closed all the time...

bobo's house was the next destination after lunch, and guess what... RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS should get me to be their singer!!! haha, enough with the ego boost... band hero totally rocked the time that we were there. but overall... lets see... i loved the drums! Serene had the bass going well too, Nat just owned the the E guitar, and Evan, yes Evan sang like a real pop star(= haha. i never knew i would enjoy this kinda games so much. my coordination with the colour bars really suk actually. most of the time i played under easy mode, haha. ( but still, dun doubt my incredible skills man!)

Today's another day of excitement and fun! cycling with tha gang in like an hours' time again? haha, really enjoy their company... what would i do this hol's w/o them man....( i was thinking study....lol).

anyway apologies to the poor room service to the sleepy two, but I, as the morning call, also lacked the energy to talk while half alseep. haha

yes, it's always good to keep echoing the last word of each line and humour the person next to you... that's something i ought to try one day. of course if that doesn't work one could nudge the person beside and give him a weird smile whilst repeating the word...haha....i'll freak

looks like this blog is in need of a skin...i wonder how long it takes for this skin to be done....( feel the pressure Gin?). here's a rough guide:
- i eat
- i sleep
- i drum
- I STUDY
incorporate them into a single theme that shouts at just below the frequency of that which would be interpreted as 'showoff'. Oh and remember; think tattoo, with a kiss of elegance and yet exploring the rugged side of every man.

SLEEP has never been more dread after... wish there were 48 hours a day, then no one would complain anymore!
Anyway today was a good day, performance with Yamaha at parkway went really well and smoothly too! im so proud of our organisation and logistics. Jet, Claudia, you guys did well...(and you will read this sooner or later i hope haha).

cell later in the afternoon, somehow it was whacked at first. i think everyone had sugar rush due to not seeing each other for a week or something... weird bunch of people.
and yes special reader, welcome to the cell! hope you enjoyed yourself on the very first cell time.(=
dined at a 5 star restaurant called Beer Garden. food wasn't bad, and we played a game of thinking of christain songs with respective lyrics. of course, i screwed up the lyrics most of the time. haha
